துஷாரா விஜயனின் OTT உலகை கலக்கும் ‘மாடர்ன் பெண் போலீஸ்’ கதாபாத்திரங்களின்திறமையான பல முகங்கள் !!

புஷ்கர் – காயத்ரியின் எக்ஸாம் தற்போது பிரைம் வீடியோவில் வெளியாகியுள்ள நிலையில், அந்த தளத்தில் கடந்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் உருவாகியிருக்கும் பல  அடுக்குகள் நிறைந்த குற்றத் தொடர்கள், பெண் போலீஸ் கதாபாத்திரங்களை எப்படி புதிய கோணத்தில் சித்தரித்து வருகின்றன என்பதைக் கவனிக்க வேண்டிய நேரமாக இது தோன்றுகிறது. இந்த கதைகளில் வரும் பெண் போலீஸ் அதிகாரிகள் வெறும் சீருடையில் இருக்கும் அதிகாரிகளாக அல்ல; அவர்கள் உணர்ச்சிகளால் சிக்குண்ட மனிதர்கள், தங்களின் தனிப்பட்ட சுமைகளுடன் வாழ்பவர்கள், முறைகேடான அமைப்புகளுக்கு எதிராக போராடுபவர்கள், தவறுகளையும் மன அழுத்தங்களையும் சுமந்து செல்லும் நபர்கள். இந்த அணுகுமுறை பாரம்பரிய ‘ஹீரோயிக்’ போலீஸ் சித்திரிப்புகளை விட மிகவும் நிஜமாக உணரப்படுகிறது. அந்த மாற்றத்தை பிரதிபலிக்கும் ஐந்து முக்கியமான படைப்புகளை பார்க்கலாம்.

சுழல் : தி வோர்டெக்ஸ் – ஷ்ரேயா ரெட்டி நடித்த இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் ரெஜினா தாமஸ், சமீபத்திய OTT உலகில் மிகவும் நினைவில் நிற்கும் பெண் போலீஸ் கதாபாத்திரங்களில் ஒன்றாக திகழ்கிறது. சம்பலூரில் நடைபெறும் மயான கொள்ளை திருவிழாவை பின்னணியாகக் கொண்ட இந்த தொடரில், ஒரு இளம் பெண் காணாமல் போன வழக்கை விசாரிக்கும் ரெஜினா, அதே நேரத்தில் தனது மகனையும் இழக்கிறார். இதனால் அவரது தொழில்முறை வாழ்க்கையும், தனிப்பட்ட வாழ்க்கையும் ஒன்றாக கலக்கின்றன. அதுவே இந்த கதாபாத்திரத்தின் பலம். ரெஜினா ஒரு கண்டிப்பான அதிகாரியாக அல்லாமல், மன உளைச்சல், கோபம், தாய்மையின் பயம் ஆகியவற்றோடு வாழும் மனிதராக எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்.

சாணிக் காயிதம் – இந்த குற்ற அதிரடி படத்தில் கீர்த்தி சுரேஷின் பொன்னி, பாரம்பரிய பெண் போலீஸ் சித்திரிப்பிலிருந்து மிகவும் விலகிய கதாபாத்திரம். குடும்பத்தை காப்பாற்ற முயலும் ஒரு காவலராக ஆரம்பிக்கும் அவள், வாழ்க்கையை சிதைக்கும் அளவிலான கொடூரமான அனுபவத்தை சந்திக்கிறார். அதன் பிறகு நடப்பது வழக்கமான நீதிக்கான போராட்டமல்ல; பழிவாங்கலுக்கான கொதிக்கும் பயணம். இந்த பட்டியலில் மிகவும் வன்முறையான கதாபாத்திரமாக இருந்தாலும், போலீஸ் சீருடையின் பின்னாலுள்ள உடைந்த மனிதரை மிகவும் நேர்மையாக காட்டியவராகவும் பொன்னி திகழ்கிறார்.

டல்டல் – பூமி பட்னேக்கரின் ரிட்டா பெரேரா, வழக்கமான போலீஸ் அதிகாரி அல்ல. கூர்மையான உள்ளுணர்வும் திறமையும் கொண்டிருந்தாலும், தன்னைச் சுற்றியிருக்கும் இருண்ட உலகின் மன அழுத்தங்களை சுமந்து வாழும் நபர். இந்த உளவியல் குற்றத் திரில்லரில், ரிட்டா ஒரு தொடர் கொலைகாரனை தேடுவதோடு, தனது கடந்தகாலத்தின் சுமைகளையும் எதிர்கொள்கிறார். இளம் வயதிலேயே மும்பை குற்றப்பிரிவை வழிநடத்தும் அவர், கடுமையான அதிகாரியாகவும் உடைந்த மனிதராகவும் இரு நிலைகளில் தொடர்ந்து இயங்குகிறார். அந்த இரட்டைத் தன்மையையே இந்த தொடர் மிகவும் நுட்பமாக பயன்படுத்துகிறது.

Set against the Mayana Kollai festival in Sambaloor, the series follows Regina as she investigates the disappearance of a teenage girl even as her own son also goes missing, blurring the line between the professional and the personal. Dahaad – Sonakshi Sinha’s SI Anjali Bhaati changed the tone of what a Hindi streaming cop could look like. She is not polished. She is not softened to fit expectations. She is direct, assertive, and often operating against both criminals and her own department. Set against a series of mysterious deaths, the show builds a cat-and-mouse dynamic that places her at the eye of the storm. But the case is only one part of her story. Exam – Since its launch, A. Sarkunam’s directorial debut series Exam has added a tense new layer to this conversation, and it starts with its two central characters, Dushara Vijayan’s Jhansi and Aditi Balan’s DSP Maramalli. Set in the hilly town of Thykara, the series follows Jhansi as she takes on the dangerous impersonation of Maramalli to expose a sprawling scam tied to competitive exams, only to realise the conspiracy runs far deeper than expected. Now streaming on Prime Video, Exam’s face-off between Jhansi and Maramalli makes it one of the most intriguing additions to the evolving portrayal of female cops on streaming.
